What Sells In A Down Economy?

When you're first entering affiliate marketing in a down economy when people are losing jobs and tightening their budget, you have to ask yourself:

What will people buy right now?

People are struggling, so it's not an easy sell for anything that they don't consider a personal necessity. Keep in mind, that people have different levels of what they consider a "need".

But most are looking for ways to save money or earn money. Saving money is a lot broader than you might think. They aren't necessarily looking for ways to stuff more money into their bank account and not spend it. They want more value for what they buy.

Deals, great prices. More bang for your buck. Everyone needs to buy things, it's the way our economy works. You can't exist without spending money on something.

You need to fill their need at what they consider to be a great value.

Also, because so many people are out of work their is an increased need for education.

It's been speculated that we're going to see a small business boom because there are so many skilled individuals that are out of work right now in a down job market.

Most people out of work will explore their skill set and try to bridge their knowledge into their own business. The President is also pushing a plan to encourage lending to new entrepreneurs.
